Looking Ahead

What could God do through Mission Southside? We can only dare to begin dreaming:
  • Taking Jesus to the people and meeting urgent needs
  • Offering help and hope
  • Becoming part of a ministry center complex with everything under one roof
  • Partnering with over 50 churches
  • Sending over 10k volunteers annually who would give 20k hours of volunteer service
  • Offering a comprehensive Hispanic ministry with a full-time Hispanic staff person
  • Sharing with the Johnson County community news about things happening through Mission Southside
The bottom line is this - We desire to take Jesus to the poor and the forgotten and meet their urgent needs if at all possible.  Never in the history of Johnson County has the need for food and bedding been any greater (and it is climbing).  People are not going to our churches and therefore we must take Jesus to them right where they are.
We dream of the day that we have enough funds to hire a full time Hispanic staff person to our team.  Without a person in a full-time position, Mission Southside will not be able to impact the Hispanic/Latino community in any significant manner.  With so many of the poor being within the Hispanic community, it is necessary to take this serious and bring on board an Hispanic staff person who knows their culture and can deeply impact them in all ways.

We are confident in the God we serve that as we dream, He has been the creator and will be the fulfiller of our dreams for Mission Southside. We will glorify Him and continue to ask for more than we could ever ask or imagine!
